In order to promote initiatives that contribute to the human and sustainable development of the country, Good Neighbors Guatemala made its volunteer programs available to companies. These plans are part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) , which seeks to strengthen the commitment and trust of employees, while providing help to local communities and society in general. These humanitarian actions focus on supporting the more than 180 communities where it has a presence, with education, health, emergency, income generation, promotion and defense of children and social business programs. Corporations can contribute not only with hours of social work, but also economically or by making donations in kind, such as the products of the basic basket and various supplies. Hyejung Park , director of Good Neighbors Guatemala, said that it is important for firms to implement any type of volunteering as part of their CSR, as it helps create strong ties and a good work environment.
